Silicon Valley AI company’s Japan expansion combines local integrations and support with a launch program for 100 teams

TOKYO, Sept. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — TANKA, Inc., a Silicon Valley AI company based in Redwood City, California, today announced the official launch of TANKA.ai in Japan. Its AI assistant uses long-term memory to help teams work with the context behind their email, chat, files and meeting records.

The expansion brings together connections to Japanese workplace tools, a Tokyo-based team focused on localization and customer support, and the Founding 100 adoption program announced at the company’s Sept. 28, 2026, launch event.

From past conversations to next steps

When a user asks TANKA to prepare a reply or document, it draws on what was promised before, what has changed and what remains unresolved. For example, an email sending a revised quote can take account of earlier commitments, updated terms and unanswered questions. Users review the draft and decide whether to send it.

TANKA links information with when and where it was shared and who was involved. Within access permissions and sharing settings, this team memory helps users revisit decisions, prepare handovers and organize meeting follow-ups, reducing the need to explain the same background repeatedly.

Building for Japan’s workplace

The Tokyo-based TANKA Japan team will focus on Japanese-language development, usability, onboarding and adoption support. Localization work includes handling variations in names and honorific language appropriate to different business relationships.

TANKA Link connects Japanese workplace services including Chatwork, kintone, SmartHR, LINE WORKS, Backlog and NotePM, alongside Gmail, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Notion, Zoom and Google Calendar. Available functions vary by integration. TANKA is available on the web, Mac, Windows, iPhone, iPad and Android.

Founding 100

Founding 100 offers 100 teams in Japan the Pro plan for JPY 980 per seat per month, including tax, for the first six months, plus free online onboarding and adoption support. After six months, the price automatically changes to the standard JPY 3,500 per seat per month, including tax.

Applications run from Sept. 28 through Dec. 31, 2026. Eligible applicants are Japanese companies, including Japanese subsidiaries of foreign companies. Participation is generally limited to 100 seats per company; larger requests require separate consultation.

MemoRing collaboration

TANKA also announced a collaboration involving MemoRing, a smart recording ring planned for launch in January 2027.
