Kokomo, Indiana – October 19, 2026 – PRESSADVANTAGE –
Solidarity Community Federal Credit Union served as title partner for The Kokomo Post’s 7th Annual Post Party, held Friday, October 2, 2026, in downtown Kokomo. The free community event, themed The Mad Lab: A Potion Commotion, occupied two streets and drew the largest crowd in the series’ history, according to the organizer.
The gathering featured more than 40 local vendors and organizations, trick-or-treating, interactive experiences, live entertainment, food, and activities for both families and adults. One street focused on family-friendly attractions while the other offered additional experiences designed with adults in mind. A dedicated trick-or-treat alley, live costume contest, and live music were among the elements. The event ran from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. and remained free to the public.
“Strong communities are built through strong partnerships. We’re grateful to The Kokomo Post and everyone who helped bring this event to life,” said Jessica Ausbrook, Director of Marketing at Solidarity Community Federal Credit Union.
The Kokomo Post has described the Post Party as having grown from a smaller neighborhood gathering into a downtown tradition. Earlier editions of the event were held at a more limited scale before expanding in recent years to occupy multiple streets. The 2026 edition further expanded the footprint and introduced a Mad Lab theme that incorporated interactive and science-inspired elements alongside traditional Halloween activities. Solidarity Community Federal Credit Union’s title partnership supported the scale of the free public celebration. Other event partners included Realtor Lisa Carney, F.A. Wilhelm Construction Company, Inc., and The Coterie.
“Events like the Post Party remind us what makes Kokomo so special: neighbors coming together, families making memories, and local organizations working to create something meaningful for everyone,” Ausbrook said.
Local organizations and businesses participated as vendors, experience providers, and sponsors. The partnership between The Kokomo Post and Solidarity Community Federal Credit Union placed the credit union in a co-presenter role for the annual gathering. Organizers noted that community turnout made the 2026 event the largest of its kind to date. The collaboration also included prior joint efforts such as episodes of The Ripple Effect Podcast, which has featured discussions involving representatives from both organizations.
Community events of this type create shared seasonal experiences for residents. The credit union’s participation reflects its interest in supporting gatherings that bring neighbors, families, and local groups together. Ausbrook’s comments framed the collaboration as an example of how local organizations can contribute to community traditions through partnership. The free nature of the event allowed broad participation without a ticket requirement, consistent with the series’ approach in prior years.
Solidarity Community Federal Credit Union is a member-owned financial cooperative founded in 1954 by Delco Electronics co-workers who pooled resources to help one another. The credit union later became community-chartered and serves members who live, work, worship, volunteer, or attend school in Howard, Tipton, Clinton, Cass, Carroll, Miami, and White counties, as well as the immediate family of existing members. It offers checking and savings accounts, consumer and mortgage lending, certificates, and digital banking services, with an emphasis on personalized service and community connection.
The credit union’s role as title partner for the 2026 Post Party continues its pattern of local engagement through sponsorships and community partnerships. The downtown celebration stands as one illustration of how member-owned institutions can support free public gatherings that draw families and neighbors into shared seasonal experiences.
